The songs on this E.P. started out as instrumental demos that were written and recorded more than five years ago. Recently I finally got around to adding lyrics and vocal melodies, which for various reasons took longer than it should have. Because of the hard work and time Chris put in, as well as addressing the numerous requests I asked of him during the editing and revision process, I feel as though the credit is mostly due to him for the album's completion and eventual release.
"Waves" is perhaps an E.P. worth listening to entirely before reaching a conclusion. The lyrics in my view have a circular movement that lends itself to listening to all the songs in their entirety. There's also an emotional complexity to the music that reveals itself through repeated listening, hence the title, "Waves" - Z. Biggs, October 14, 2021
